Easter Cards Spread Springtime Joy

Hello friends. Today's post is all about Easter cards and Springtime Joy - the concept and the stamp set! I have fallen in love with this stamp set with its adorable characters and gorgeous flowers and other accessories. Today I went a step further and combined the Springtime Joy stamp set with my favorite Designer Series Paper, the Fine Art Floral DSP.

In the card above I stamped the bunny onto a scrap of the Fine Art Floral paper, then cut her out. I stamped her head wreath a second time and added it to the bunny with mini stampin' dimensionals. The bunny and her accessories are affixed to the Stitched Circle Die with stampin' dimensionals. And just look how stunning the Fine Art Floral paper is in the background.

I love this little lambie too. I stamped her on White Cardstock and colored her and her Easter basket and little chicky friend with Stampin' Blend markers. I used more of the Fine Art Floral DSP in this card too. I did mention that this a favorite product didn't I? The Lamb is framed with the Layered Oval Dies.

I hope that both of these cards inspire you to experience some Springtime Joy. I know I had such a nice time using creating these cards to share.

Butterfly Bouquet Thank You - International Blog Hop

Hello friends. Today I joining you via Kylie's International Blog Hop and I am going to share another project made with the A-MA-ZING Stampin' Up! Butterfly Bouquet bundle. Have I mentioned that I adore this suite of products? I truly do. I love the versatility and the limitless creativity these products inspire.

For those of you who like sneak peeks, the Butterfly Bouquet bundle is actually an early release from our NEW 2021-2022 Annual Catalog (which will be available later this year). The only catch is, the beautiful Butterfly Bijou designer series paper will NOT be in the new catalog. It will disappear on May 2. Be aware of that as you too come to love this bundle.

Today's card is a vertical, top-opening layered card, featuring the butterflies and a few Easter eggs to create a gorgeous spring Thank you card. I started with a base card in Seaside Spray cardstock and created white textured mat using white cardstock layered in white butterflies. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to give this a layer a lift.

The middle focal point of the card was also built in layers. I started with a 3 x 4 inch piece of cardstock. Onto that I glued 1/2 x 3 inch strips of the Butterfly Bijou dsp to create the multi colored background. I used the beautiful Stitched So Sweetly dies to cut two elements - the scalloped sentiment tag and the gold frame. For the frame I cut the largest scalloped die in gold sdsp. I then used my paper trimmer to remove the middle of the and created a scalloped frame. Stampin' dimensionals were added to the back of the frame to give it a lift off of the multi colored background.

I used the butterfly outline dies to and cut two butterflies from the Butterfly Bijou dsp. I used our gilded leafing to add touches of gold to the butterfly wings. I placed one side of each butterfly on top of the frame with a dot of glue while using stampin' dimensionals to adhere the other side of the butterflies.

I had two Easter eggs already stamped and cut out (left over from another project) and sitting on my desk. I decided to add the Easter eggs to the card to show how easily a small addition can make a big impact on a project.

Easter Cards with Arrange A Wreath

Hello friends today I am thinking about Easter cards. I did such a horrible job of sending out Christmas Cards this last December that I decided to make up for it by sending Easter cards.... Well really, sending far more Easter cards than normal.

To create my Easter cards, I am turning to the tried and true Stampin' Up! bundle, Arrange a Wreath. If you thought Arrange a Wreath was a Christmas stamp and die bundle, you were only 20% correct. While you can craft fabulous Christmas cards with this bundle, you can also create amazing Spring, Easter, Summer, and Fall cards!

For today's card I used two of my most favorite colors, Calypso Coral and Pear Pizzazz, with a touch of Coastal Cabana to create fun, colorful, happy Easter cards.

The wreath was created cutting two layers, one in white and one in Pear Pizzazz. The flowers and eggs were stamped, cut, and affixed to the wreath. I finished the wreath with a twine zigzag that I snipped to make into smaller sections. I added gems for some charm.

The Arrange a Wreath bundle can be found on my Stampin' Up! website by clicking the Stampin' Up! tab at the top of my blog. Click today and you will have plenty of time to make your own Easter wreath cards.

Butterfly Bouquet Scrapbook Layout & Blog Hop!

Hello friends. Today I am participating in a Butterfly Bouquet blog hop with Kylie's (Stampin' Up!) Demonstrator Training Program. I hope you enjoy my project, and the 40+ other fabulous SU projects from around the world!

I have been focused so much on card making recently and I decided this suite of products provided me the perfect opportunity to "return to my roots" and do a bit of scrapbooking.  I have so many photographs to scrap from grandchildren and holidays, I really need to do more of this.

A number of years ago Doug and I visited Key West, Florida. One of the more low key yet interesting place we made a stop was at the Butterfly & Nature Conservatory. I cannot tell you how many thousands of butterfly species they had from all over the world. It was amazing. My photos of the time we spent there truly did not do justice to the visit.

When planning today's layout I remembered the visit and thought this suite of products would be perfect for the photos.

I began with white card stock and added to squares of DSP from the Butterfly Bijou 6x6 set. I placed those on the left side of the page. To the right I used plain white cardstock. Using our new blending brushes, I added touches of Crushed Curry and Flirty Flamingo ink to continue the background colors, going for an ombre effect. I then used versamark ink and white embossing powder to add white butterflies to the back ground.

I used a similar ombre effect when die cutting my butterflies. I added the same two colors of ink via blending brush to white cardstock, using less and less color as I moved across the page. I then used my Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine and the Brilliant Wing dies to cut my butterflies.

The butterflies on my scrapbook page may look a bit confused, but they are all migrating lower left to upper right as they make their way across the page.

This suite of products will be available for purchase tomorrow, March 2, 2021. You can purchase products individually, or as a discounted suite.

Thank you for hopping by today. For more information on the products used to create this layout, visit my online store HERE.  Please click the link below to continue on the blog hop.
