Baby Bunny and Butterfly

Hello friends! Welcome to my project for this week's Bitten By the Bug 2 Cricut Challenge. My sweet Design Team sister, Amy, is hosting this week's challenge and she selected a Butterfly as the challenge cut.  You must use at least one Cricut cut butterfly on your project.

I selected this cutie-patootie butterfly from the Create A Critter Cricut cartridge to join my baby bunny and friends SVGs on this Easter card.  I love the layers and open areas on this butterfly and how it coordinates with the other cuts on the card.

The baby bunny, chicks, and stuffed bunny are an SVG set I found in my SVG Easter folder.  I love that little stuffed bunny!

I finished the card with white ink doodles, white sequins, and a Happy Easter stamp from my stash.

I hope that you decided to join Bitten By the Bug 2's Butterfly Cricut Challenge this week.  Just craft any project of your choice and link in at the original post on the Bitten By the Bug 2 blog.

Bringing Home The Tree

Hello friends! Welcome to my Christmas project for The Merry Christmas Challenge Blog, where every challenge, every week, is an Anything Goes Christmas challenge.

I call this card, Bring Home the Tree as it features this cute mice family doing just that.  The family and their clothing were created using two coordinating die sets from Marianne Designs. The clothing was cut from my winter print scraps stash.

The Christmas tree and ornaments were cut using pieces from a different die set, one that I will use in the near future to create a card with a totally different look.

The Season's Greeting sentiment stamp is an OLD Stampin' Up stamp from my stash.

I hope that you will be able to join us at The Merry Christmas Challenge Blog this week.  Be sure to hop over and check out the design teams fun Christmas cards!!

Easter Basket Card

Hello friends! Welcome to my project for this week's Bitten By the Bug 2 Cricut Challenge. My sweet Design Team sister, Maureen is hosting this week's challenge, Anything Goes - Easter! I love the Easter season, the colors, the new life blooming, and all of the many traditions.  I also like Easter crafting!

For my project this week I used two Cricut cartridges (plus Basic Shapes) and an SVG image set.  The cartridges were Picturesque - for the tag, and Close To My Heart's Flower Market - for the vertical banners and the Happy Easter phrase. The basket, eggs, grass, etc were cut with an SVG design set I picked up a couple of years ago.  I finished the card with white sequins.

I hope that you have already been by the Bitten By the Bug 2 Blog this week to check out the Design Team's fabulous Easter projects.  I also hope that you will find some time to join our challenge this week and link up your own Easter project!

St. Patrick's Day Shamrock Brooch/Pin

Hello friends! Welcome to my project for this week's Bitten By the Bug 2 Cricut Challenge. My sweet Design Team sister, Michelle, is hosting this week's Cricut Challenge.  Michelle has instructed us to use the COLOR GREEN on our projects this week.  We can use any Cricut cut of our choosing, but we must include the color GREEN on our projects.  I chose to create a St. Patrick's Day Shamrock Brooch.

I used the same cartridges on this brooch as I used on last week's St. Patrick's Day card, except I did not use Picturesque.  The two cartridges used for this project are Disney Classics - for the clover and flower - and Home for the Holidays Spring & Summer - for the shamrock.

I finished the brooch with white ink splatter and a tiny twist of burlap ribbon.

I hope that you find some time to join us in this week's COLOR CHALLENGE. We would love to see your GREEN projects!

And speaking of GREEN, no matter what color outfit I might choose to wear on St. Patrick's Day, no one will be able to pinch me as long as I have on my St. Patty's brooch!!

Shamrock St. Patty's Card

Hello friends! Welcome to my project for this week's Bitten By the Bug 2 Cricut Challenge. I am hosting this challenge - Show Us Your Shamrocks!

St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner and you know you need to begin getting your
GREEN ready, start practicing your best "Kiss Me, I'm Irish" pucker, and practice your pinch for those who refuse to get in the spirit.  And... Get out your green card stock and craft up some Irish goodness!

I used three Cricut cartridges to make this card:
Disney Classics - the flower and clover,
Picturesque - the Celtic framework, and
Home for the Holidays Spring & Summer - the shamrock.

I copied the shamrock and welded the two tops together to create the card shape.  I layered the Celtic framework over the shamrock and then added the clover and flower top.  I finished the card with pen doodles.

Have you been by the
Bitten By the Bug 2  blog yet today? You should check out the design teams' projects.  I am truly the weakest link this week. I hope that you might consider joining us in this week's challenge.
