High School Graduation.....

My youngest child graduated from high school this evening. What a milestone... for Ian and for his parents!!! In just a few weeks he will be off to college and I have to wonder at the lightening-speed passing of time!!! Tomorrow will be Ian's graduation party, a low key affair to celebrate his achievement with friends and family. Tonight we are all tired and happy.

Doggie Update

Our new family member, our little sweet Pomeranian boy, has been with us for a little over week now and all I can say is - we completely love him! We have renamed him Duncan, which he is beginning to respond to, probably because we say it with such affection. Well that and three of us call him Duncan constantly... Duncan is a character in a movie our family likes and watches over and over. Duncan is kind-hearted loyal friend. We thought the the name fit our little guy well.

Duncan has a funny sense of humor and loves to play - almost as much as he loves to snuggle. And what a snuggler he is!!! Sadly, he has exhibited some behaviors that suggest his first owner may have been unkind to him. But we are convinced with love, patience, kindness, spoiling, and devotion he will overcome any unpleasant memories. We are just thankful that Ms. Mary rescued him and allowed us to adopt.

We feel very blessed to have Duncan as part of our family... And we hope he feels the same about us.

Preparing for the Annual Trip to Camp Crop A Lot

Each year I make a pilgrimage to Temple, GA with 15 other women to a place called Camp Crop A Lot. Now, before you gag on the name, or worse yet, get a mental picture of cabins and campfires, let me assure you that camp crop a lot is not really a camp! The woman who owns the house (Yes, I said HOUSE) is named Camp. Camp crop a lot is a residential home converted to be a weekend crop retreat center. This will be our third year at CCAL.... Which means it was almost exactly two years ago that I met and fell in love with Cricut!!! I had my first cricut experience at CCAL. I had just purchased an electronic cutting system by a different company, came home and sold it to dh's admin assistant, and ran out and purchased my first cricut!!!

Each year a different friend is in charge making the arrangement and communicating with everyone. This year that blessed woman is my friend Kathy. Kathy got this hot idea after attending a recipe swap class that we should each bring 6 x 6 pages to share. But not recipes... ON NO! She made us do that one thing that no true scrapper likes.... Scrap pages featuring ourselves! That's right, I had to make 16 - 6 x 6 pages of me. Yikes.

I decided to use my cricut to ease my pain. I cut 6 x 6 squares, then 5.25 x 5.25 squares, 4" -ish circles, flowers, swirls, etc..... all using my cricut. I printed my information on the card stock, using text boxes. And then I assembled and blinged my pages. Not too bad for one evening's work.

Busy with the little cricky!

I have been very busy with my little cricky bug this week, and with catching up on adding pages to the kids' & family books. All but Bethany have all of their pages added to their books.

Today I am going to hang out with a group of friends who are doing a huge garage sale. I have NOTHING to sell, but they have bugged me to come over anyway. Well - I can go, but they better be prepared to talk cricut, scapping, etc. Ha ha.

Anyway, here is a look at my latest cricut/design studio creation.
