Embossed Poinsettias Card

Hello friends! Welcome to my Christmas project for The Merry Christmas Challenge Blog, where every challenge, every week, is an Anything Goes Christmas challenge.

My card for this week was created using the Altenew die and stamp set, Poinsettia and Pine. Using Versa ink, I stamped a poinsettia on red cardstock and heat embossed the image with gold embossing powder. Using the large poinsettia die, I cut out the image and add sequins to the center of the flower.

Continuing with the Versa ink and gold embossing powder, I stamped three poinsettias, pine branches, and berry stems on the white background layer. After heat embossing I used water color markers to color in the berries and flower centers.

I cut a rectangle in pale pink cardstock and mounted the poinsettia.  I used the Peace die and cut the word in gold metallic cardstock.  After laying the card elements, I finished the card by adding a few sequins around the main poinsettia.

Have you been by The Merry Christmas Challenge blog yet today? Janis and the design team have created very festive Christmas projects to share with you and to inspire your Christmas crafting. I hope that you will join us this week and create your own Christmas project.
