Country French Canister Face Lift

Hello friends!  I may have mentioned previously that I have a bit of redecorating going on in my kitchen.  I am getting rid of the fruit decor and ushering in a new era of Country French-ish.  When the kitchen is completely finished I will share an over view of the entire project, but today I want to share one of my fun decor finds.

I had been looking for new canisters as I still used - I am embarrassed to admit - large Tupperware containers to hold my baking ingredients.  That meant that every time I needed a quarter cup of flour, I had to drag the big plastic canister out of the pantry (where they were hid).  My hope was that adding canisters to my counter top would free up space inside the pantry as well as add a French-ish element to the kitchen decor.

I found this set of canisters at Kohl's and really liked them - and they were on sale at the time (score)!  Once they arrived I used my Cricut Explore and navy vinyl to embellish the canisters, adding the elements I felt would help the canisters blend into the decor with a bit of a POP.

I used Ornamental Iron (maybe OI2??) to add the border.  The font for the words is something from my computer.

I added the words Sugar and Flour in French.  I have no idea what the word Stevia might be in France so I just went with Stevia.  We now use much more Almond Flour and Stevia in our house than regular flour and sugar, so that is what is in the two larger canisters.  The smallest canister does have sugar, which my mom and Doug will occasionally use.

I am very pleased with how the canisters turned out and I am hoping to be able to share the complete Kitchen redecorating project some time in April.

Thanks for stopping by today!
