Valentine Gift Package

Hello everyone - I am going to begin today's post with a confession:  I TOTALLY scraplifted this idea from other papercrafters!!  I did not have the original idea to create this great Keurig Valentine's Day gift packaging, but I thought it was very creative and I decided to have a go at making it my own.

I read on facebook that one of the other versions of this design was created with Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More's CAKE BOX.  I pulled up TBBM in Craft Room and decided to use a modified version of the CHRISTMAS TREE BOX.  In hind site I realized that I should have used CTMH's Artiste cartridge's Cake Box - it is triangle shaped with a pretty scallop edged lid.   If the bottom were cut twice, one cut a bit smaller, it could server as an insert for the Keurig cups.

Now that I have shared what I "SHOULD" have done, I will tell you what I did.  I used the Christmas Tree Box.  I modified the end of the box to get rid of the tree trunk and make it so the box would close evenly across the end.  I placed six 1.7 inch circles spaces evenly on the "top" of the box to cut out for the Keurig cups.

I copied the basic box, minus the circles, to another page in Craft Room and enlarged the cut a bit. I added a heart cut out from Craft Room Basic Shapes to the "top" of the box.  I then cut out the lid with the heart opening.

On a third page in Craft Room I copied the heart opening, made it a tad smaller and added the scallop edged heart around the original heart - the create the heart frame for the lid.

I finished the sides of my box with pretty edge trims - lace from my fibers stash and pleated red ribbon trim from CTMH's Designer Ribbon Red Collection.  On top I added LOVE ribbon and four sugared roses from the check out line at Michael's.   Yes, yes, for shame!  I should have made my own roses, but look at it this way, I DID use something from my stash so that is a win!

Thanks for stopping by today and viewing my scraplifted Valentine Keurig gift box.

  1. What a fab idea! Love how it turned out. xxD

  2. Love this project, Susan! I have seen a few different ideas for the K-cups, but have been too intimidated to try any of them. Is there a way to share CCR files? I haven't played much in that program because I use my Gypsy.

  3. Wow, a lot of work Susan but so worth it! This is fabulous!! Great gift for a honey!!
