Blog milestone and blog candy

Sixteen and a half months ago I added a counter to this blog.  It has been a nice tool to monitor what type of projects area best received and for tracking visitor trends on my blog.  In the next day or two I will reach a new counter milestone:  200,000 blog visits!

In honor of the 200,000th visit, I am offer BLOG CANDY:  a new, unopened HOLIDAY CAKES cartridge!!!

To be eligible to win this great cartridge you will need to do two thinks:
  1. If you are not already a follower, please become a follower; and
  2. You should leave a comment under this post telling me the first project you will create with this cartridge.

The winner will be posted on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th.

Kim Horlander said...

Well this is just great. I have managed to completely avoid ever looking at any of the cake cart. I don't have a cake, but knew that they could be used for other projects, but I put that info in some deep, dark recess of my mind, and all was good. But guess what! You made me look at the cake carts. And now I need them. All thanks to you.

So, after I don't win the cart, but have to go buy it, the first thing I will make is probably treat bag toppers using the bat in front of the moon. Or maybe I will use the font first, cause it is really cool.

Congrats on your blog counter!

Congrats on your BIG milestone!!!! I know I haven't been around lately, back doing it's thing as usual. Update on my blog. I love your blog Susan, and your projects always make me smile. I love the inspiration that you give!

Don't really think I have been around much to deserve winning this cart, but I will say, the CAR! I would make a card with the car on it for my Dad as he is a total older car nut! He used to restore cars from the 50s and 60s, even painting them himself. Believe it or not, he used spray cans...LOL! We called him "spraycan Sass" ;).

He is in WA, and it's difficult to talk to him on the phone because his parkinsons causes him to shake so much, that he fades in and out, so I try to send him a card with a little note included. Of course one day I did call him (I believe it was Labor day), and he told them he couldn't come to the phone due to the fact that he was in the middle of his ice cream social (he lives in an assisted living facility/rehab center), typical of my Dad...he was late to my Mom's memorial service because a piece of pie caught his eye in the hospital cafeteria (My Mom worked in the lab there).

I know, sounds like he isn't caring, but that's how he copes, and he loves his ice cream!!!!

Yikes, sorry about the ramble..and thanks for all you do!!!

Crafty Hugs!

I already left a comment about your Halloween layout on Everyday Cricut.
As for the Blog Party...it appears that the holiday cake cart has a circle with what might be leaves & acorns (hard to see exactly). But if that's the case the 1st thing I'd have to do is a fall layout. Now that the leaves are starting to change and everyone is advertising apple cider, the crispness of fall needs to come out in the creativity too!
Thanks for the candy opportunity!

Congratulation, Susan, on 200,000 hits! That is awesome, but so is your blog!
My very first thing i would do with this cart is cut the lacy scallop circle. I just love the look and i want to see it in person. I'd probably just hold on to it for awhile until i find the perfect place for it, but would enjoy just having it there. First project would be creating Halloween favors for our local trick-or-treaters. Your layout has some pretty cool cuts i think the kids would love!
Thank you Susan!
