Sharing Cut Files from the Title Cut Swap

Joann of the Cricut Message Board proposed a Design Studio Title Swap. I do not think she realized 1) just how many of us would come in from cyber-space and sign up for the swap; and 2) that we would each create several titles!! Joann ended up with 179 titles!!!! Wow, huh?

I created four titles for the swap, using a variety of cartridges. The titles became addictive. I am going to include screen shots of my cuts, and post the cut files on the blog under cut files.

This Thursday Is Boss's Day!

Last Friday my co-workers drafted me to be the person who makes the cards for Bosses Day. I made three very pretty cards for the women, which I cannot post because one of the bosses just might visit my blog, and I made fun cards for the men. The card below is for my male boss and it reads, "As bosses go.....We think you are tops!" I hope that they he likes him, I even used the boss's favorite purple shirt for inspiration!!

It Another Challenge - Cupcakes Card(s)

I love visiting Taylored Expressions. This week's challenge is the Cupcake Challenge #37. If you are not familiar with this blog, you should take time to visit at http://tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/.

I have a new cupcake stamp set, so I could not resist playing along on this challenge. I stamped my cupcakes on BasicGrey paper and colored it in with colored pencils. I used the same BasicGrey paper set, Urban Couture, to create my cards.

Twin Day

This is Spirit Week at my son's high school and today was Twin Day. Usually this involves teaming with a friend and dressing alike, sometimes normal looking, sometimes not. Last year two of Ian's friends painted themselves blue and went as Smurfs! This year, Ian decided he wanted to do something a little different. He purchased a standee of Barack Obama, wore a suit coat, shirt and tie (with shorts!), and went as Barack's twin!! It was actually quite funny, political beliefs aside!

Crop at the Lake

My friend Beth and her mother, Sally, hosted a wonderful weekend crop at Lake Murray this last weekend. The weather was delightful, but the company was even better!!! I only finished 12 pages and 12 cards, but I had a very nice time. Thanks again Beth & Sally; you are both wonderful!
